Job summary

PRASARANA MALAYSIA BERHAD seeks a Senior Associate, Emerging Technology to support IT initiatives across on‑prem, cloud, hybrid infra, cybersecurity, and emerging tech environments. You will provide technical project engineering support from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business, security, and governance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Diploma with extensive hands-on IT infrastructure experience.
Experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, data centres, backup solutions, and infrastructure modernization.
A relevant industry-recognised certification in cloud, networking, or cybersecurity (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Cisco, CompTIA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).

Responsibilities

Lead assigned technical workstreams for IT technology projects from requirements validation, design review, implementation, testing, handover, and project closure.
Provide senior engineering expertise across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data centre, network, backup, monitoring, and emerging technology initiatives.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, acceptance criteria, and measurable deliverables.
Review designs, vendor proposals, and implementation plans for enterprise standards compliance.
Coordinate engineering activities with vendors, contractors, application teams, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, operations, and stakeholders.
Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables, escalating as needed.
Oversee design reviews, pilots, PoCs, integration testing, commissioning, and acceptance readiness.
Ensure complete project documentation and handover artefacts (as-built, test evidence, runbooks, training records).
Provide hands-on engineering oversight for hybrid infrastructure and cloud services, including servers, storage, virtualization, networking, security, backup, DR, monitoring, and identity integration.
Assess AI and emerging technologies to enhance resilience, efficiency, cybersecurity, and delivery outcomes.
