Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Software Tester / QA Engineer to join our technology team in Malaysia. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, functionality, and performance of software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing.

The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, performing detailed test planning, execution, and defect tracking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of testing experience in software QA.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Knowledge of API testing and SQL basics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and identify testing requirements.
• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Re-test defects after fixes and perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
• Perform database validation and basic SQL queries.
• Maintain testing documentation, test evidence, and QA reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect review meetings.
• Support CI/CD testing activities and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Ensure software releases meet defined quality and acceptance criteria.
