Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled QA Engineer with 3-5+ years of experience to join our testing team in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, implement, and execute testing strategies for web and API-based applications within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into effective tests, report quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of manual testing and familiarity with test automation are valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Experience with manual testing and exposure to test automation is a plus.
• Proficient in testing APIs and cloud-based web applications.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure quality.
• Define and maintain testing processes, standards, and guidelines.
• Translate business requirements into effective testing strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of web and API-based applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs; ensure timely resolutions.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure quality releases.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile.
• Provide regular reporting on testing progress and quality metrics.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the testing workflow.
