Job summary

The Wealth Relationship Manager at 2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd will acquire, deepen, and retain high-net-worth clients, delivering comprehensive financial advice across wealth management products and services.

You will conduct needs analyses, propose tailored solutions, monitor portfolios, and ensure regulatory compliance while striving to achieve sales targets and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or a similar client-facing role within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of acquiring and managing high-net-worth client relationships.
• Strong understanding of investment products, insurance solutions, and financial planning principles.
• Possession of relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CMFAS Module 6A, 6, 6B) is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in other languages (e.g., Mandarin) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, establishing strong and trusted relationships.
• Conduct thorough financial needs analyses for clients, understanding their investment objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term financial goals.
• Propose and implement tailored wealth management solutions, including investment products (e.g., unit trusts, structured products, equities), insurance, treasury products, and lending solutions.
• Monitor client portfolios regularly, providing performance reviews and recommending adjustments as market conditions or client circumstances change.
• Proactively engage with clients to cross-sell and upsell a full range of UOB products and services, maximizing client wallet share.
• Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/CFT, KYC), and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with product specialists, legal, and compliance teams to deliver holistic solutions and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and competitor offerings to provide informed advice.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall team’s performance.
