Job summary

Michael Holmes Resources is seeking a Test Engineer for a leading electronics manufacturer in Penang. The role focuses on testing, failure analysis, and process improvement with 1–2 years of experience, exposure to PCBA troubleshooting, and close collaboration with production and quality teams.

You will work with test equipment, maintain test reports and specifications, and support new product introduction. Fresh grads with strong lab or project exposure will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics or related field.
• 1–2 years of testing/manufacturing/electronics experience.
• Willingness to learn PCBA troubleshooting techniques on the job.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot basic testing equipment and fixtures.
• Analyze test results and flag product or process issues to seniors.
• Assist with failure analysis and root-cause investigation under supervision.
• Support new product introduction and qualification activities.
• Maintain test specifications, work instructions and reports.
• Monitor test yield and escalate issues needing corrective action.
• Provide guidance to production operators on testing steps.
