Job summary

ESCATEC Group in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Test Engineer to design and implement tests that ensure product quality and functionality. The role is part of the NPI team, overseeing tester setups, buyoff, and release, and driving test coverage improvements.

You will document work instructions, support ECO implementations, and assist in PCBA failure analysis and medical product validation, leveraging LabVIEW, VB, and C++ scripting along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or 5+ years' experience in PCBA test processes.
• Familiar with PCBA test processes and ICT/FCT tester.
• Knowledge of test development processes.
• Experience with LabVIEW programming, VB, C++, and scripting.
• Experience in medical product validation and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Part of NPI team, handle NPI project which including schedule, cost and resources planning.
• Responsible for tester setup, buyoff and release.
• Documentation preparation which including work instruction, tester troubleshooting guideline
• Perform test coverage analysis, liaise with customer & test development team for test coverage optimization
• Support ECO implementation on test process.
• Test program management, changes, record, backup ...
• Continuously drive to improve product test yields and tester stability
• Responsible for tester enhancement, test coverage improvement and also cost reduction
• Provide training and support to test technicians on troubleshooting testers
• Provide support on PCBA failure analysis
• Support medical product test processes and test software validation
