Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a purchasing professional to analyze, plan and procure electronic components for production, ensuring timely MRP activities and supplier performance.

You will manage inventory, minimize risk from obsolescence, negotiate with suppliers, and adapt to fast-paced manufacturing schedules; strong Excel and Oracle/MRP familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in equivalent related field.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in purchasing/procurement field.
• Good communication, proactive problem solving, follow-up and negotiation skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Applications such Excel and knowledge of MRP, ORACLE system will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan & purchase electronics components to support production needs according to Customer’s requirement.
• Ensure timely executions of MRP activities, track purchase price variance.
• Assurance of supply for Production build.
• Ensure timely management on disposition of defective material.
• Maintain purchasing parameters; lead-time, cancellation window, reschedule window, MOQ and etc.
• Manage inventory, excess and obsolescence to minimize Company’s risk.
• Manage overall relationship and performance of Suppliers.
• Able to work in fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work long hours, handle stress, able to work with the frequent changes in various schedules.
