Job summary

BETWEEN Group in Malaysia is seeking an Electronics Procurement Engineer with strong experience in PCA/PBA components and EMS supplier management. You will work with design, operations, quality, and EMS partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality and cost-optimized electronic components in a fast-paced environment, with close collaboration with our Johor Bahru manufacturing partner.

The role offers a permanent contract and a hybrid work model (2–3 days onsite in Johor Bahru).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, EMS management, or component sourcing for PCA/PBA.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes, and assembly constraints.
• Ability to evaluate BOMs, cost structures, alternates, PCNs, and EOL analysis.
• Experience with DFM/DFx, 8D processes, and supplier quality workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct procurement activities for electronic components and PCA/PBA assemblies.
• Ensure availability of parts according to quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Coordinate daily with EMS suppliers for delivery, schedules, capacity, shortages, and quality topics.
• Lead RFQs, cost analysis, and cost‑reduction initiatives with suppliers and internal teams.
• Evaluate component feasibility, lifecycle, alternatives, and risk assessments (PCN, EOL, multi‑sourcing).
• Work with R&D to support DFM/DFx reviews for electronic designs.
• Support qualification of electronic parts and assemblies, validating compliance with design and reliability requirements.
• Drive supplier performance improvements, including 8D follow‑ups, quality actions, and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain procurement documentation, component databases, and supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing partners in Johor Bahru, including regular onsite visits to EMS and component suppliers.
• Communicate fluently in English with global engineering, quality, and sourcing teams.
