Job summary

Sanmina Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement professional in Penang to analyze, plan and purchase electronics components to support production needs. You will ensure timely MRP activities, track price variances and manage supplier performance to assure supply for production builds.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree and at least two years in purchasing, with strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
• Good communication, proactive problem solving, follow-up and negotiation skills.
• Familiar with Excel and knowledge of MRP; Oracle system will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan & purchase electronics components to support production needs.
• Ensure timely MRP activities and track purchase price variance.
• Assure supply for production builds and manage disposition of defective material.
• Maintain purchasing parameters such as lead-time, cancellation window, and MOQ.
• Manage inventory, excess and obsolescence to minimize company risk.
• Oversee supplier relationships and performance.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle stress.
