Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking engineers with a strong background in electronics to design and lay out power supply and battery management PCBs. You will perform reliability tests (HASS/HALT) and generate thorough instructions for manufacturing, while supporting ongoing product development in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate holds a electronics-focused degree and demonstrates expertise in power electronics, MCU usage, and EDA tools, with a proactive, self-starting attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electronics/electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and devices.
• Experience with circuit board layouts.
• Proficiency with EDA tools (Protel, PowerPCB, Cadence, Altium).
• Understanding of power topology (forwarding, flyback, LLC, buck, boost).
• Strong MCU knowledge.
• Familiarity with electronics standards and protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Layout design for power supply and battery management PCB.
• Perform HASS and HALT tests on power and battery boards.
• Create and compile instructions for power and battery boards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics and Mathematics
• Thorough understanding of power electronics and devices.
• Must possess knowledge of multiple circuit board layouts
• Must possess experience and knowledge of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software such as Protel, PowerPCB, Candence, Altium Designer, and/or other similar software applications.
• Must have understanding and knowledge in power topology including but not limited to forwarding, Flyback, LLC, Buck, and boost, etc.
• Strong understanding of MCU.
• Understanding of electronics engineering standards and protocol.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated and self-starter.
