Job summary

Inter Island in Kulai, Malaysia seeks an Electrical Engineer to help develop electrical distribution systems for vehicles and perform system calculations for control and lighting modules. You will troubleshoot short circuits and assist with installations, while developing harnesses and reviewing electrical drawings to meet project specs.

The role requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with preference for candidates who can communicate well and have automotive design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably able to communicate well, with experience in automotive design work using AutoCAD.

• To develop electrical distribution systems for vehicles based on industry standards and specifications.
• To perform system calculations and studies for vehicle control systems – door system, lighting system.
• To troubleshoot vehicle short circuit and relay coordination.
• To develop test requirements and assist in electrical equipment installation from supplier.
• To develop electrical harnesses for vehicle.
• To review and check all electrical installation and circuit drawings to comply with the company and project specifications (electrical equipment location drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, logic diagram, etc.).
• To assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• To operate computer software that is related to the automobile ECU.
• To liaise and communicate effectively with the production crew.

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or its equivalent.
• Preferably able to communicate well, with experience in automotive design work using AutoCAD.
• At least 1 to 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is advantageous but not essential.
