Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring for an on-site electrical maintenance role at our water treatment facility in Penang/Butterworth.

You will perform maintenance of control panels, troubleshoot pumps, support WTP/STP systems, and handle field wiring and instrumentation.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Chargeman A4, and hands-on experience; strong English communication is needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Chargeman A4 certification is mandatory for electrician scope tasks.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in WTP/STP and pump systems.
• Basic PLC/SCADA knowledge advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office; English communication required.

Job description

Responsible for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment systems at site.

Responsibilities / Skills:

Electrical maintenance of control panels and switchboards

Troubleshooting three-phase pumps and motors

SCADA field wiring and instrumentation work

Maintenance of air compressors, blowers, and pneumatic systems

Able to support operation and maintenance of WTP/STP systems

Able to support Plumbing, piping, and general mechanical maintenance tasks

Electrical wiring and basic control system troubleshooting

General site maintenance and handyman support

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or related field.

Chargeman A4 certification (mandatory for electrician scope tasks)

Basic understanding of Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and pump station systems

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.

Knowledge in PLC, SCADA, MEX systems is an added advantage

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)

Good command of spoken and written English

No criminal record (background check required)

Work Arrangement:

Fully site-based role (non-office environment)

Must be available for emergency call-outs and after-hours support

Involves hands-on maintenance and field operations
