Job summary

TTLIM Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Technician in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time role covers installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems for material handling equipment.

You will assemble control boxes, perform preventive maintenance and repairs on cranes, hoists, and related gear, and document all work while collaborating with the engineering team to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical certification or diploma or wireman/chargeman certification preferred
• At least SPM qualification with credit in English and Maths
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams

Responsibilities

• Assemble control box for material handling equipment
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs for material handling equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists, dock levels)
• Perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to minimise downtime
• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and wiring for material handling equipment
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure smooth electrical operation
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at TTLIM Engineering Sdn Bhd in Simpang Ampat, Penang. As a full-time Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment, especially material handling equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for assembling the control box required for material handling equipments
• Assist in carrying out preventive maintenance and repairs for material handling equipments such as overhead travelling crane, goods hoist, scissors lift, dockleveller etc.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on material handling equipments
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime to material handling equipments
• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and wiring for material handling equipments
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of electrical systems for material handling equipment
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical certification or diploma or wireman or chargeman certification preferred
