Job summary

AALBORG PortLand Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrician to join our engineering team in Ipoh, Perak. This full-time role focuses on maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our facilities to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, with PW4/AO Chargeman certification and at least 3 years in heavy industry, preferably cement manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical.
• Possess a valid PW4 or AO Chargeman Certificate.
• At least 3 years of working experience in heavy industry environment.
• Experience in cement manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in electrical, instrumentation and control system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance independently.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and control diagrams.
• Willing to work on shift pattern and overtime when required.
• Good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with plant safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in plant environment.

Responsibilities

• To carry out duty on shift basis according to shift roster and assignments.
• To carry out PM for all electrical, instrumentation & control equipments.
• To carry out PM as assigned by his superior and management.
• To troubleshoot any breakdown of electrical, instrumentation & control equipments.
• To assist other department’s personnel to settle problems on site.
• To record monthly meter reading for all dept & section.
• To report to superior of any breakdown of equipment and machinery.
• To ensure proper housekeeping are carried out daily for the department.
• To attend training, seminar and course as assigned by superior.
• To guide and explain to subordinate when problem arises at plant even when he is off duty.
• To promote safe awareness among department and create a safe working environment.
• To work as a team in achieving departments goals.
• Report to superior when require more technical support or decision making on critical issue.
