Job summary

MODERNLITE ELECTRICAL SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Based) in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. You will manage costs, budgets, and contracts for electrical projects, ensuring accuracy in estimates and tender bids while upholding quality and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with project teams, monitor variances, and support pre-contract activities to optimise profitability and project outcomes. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• A professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline is required.
• Fresh Graduate is welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and costs.
• Experience with quantity surveying software and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budget proposals for electrical projects.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Analyse tender documents and prepare competitive bids.
• Manage project budgets and track expenditures.
• Process variation orders, claims, and contract documentation.
• Liaise with managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients on costs and scope.
• Monitor labour costs, materials, and resource allocation for profitability.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering for efficiency.
• Maintain project records in compliance with standards.
• Support tender submissions and pre-contract negotiations with expertise.
