Job summary

Eternity Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Project Manager (Assistant & Manager) to lead highrise property electrical projects in Malaysia. You will oversee planning, design coordination, construction, testing and handover, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Electrical/ M&E construction and project management (Highrise Property).
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project execution.
• Proven experience in managing projects, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.
• Experience in tender preparation, costing, variation orders, and budget control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical projects from planning and design coordination through construction, testing and commissioning.
• Develop and monitor project work programmes, manpower requirements, resources, and overall project schedules.
• Monitor site progress and ensure electrical works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure effective coordination between project teams, site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
• Identify project risks, delays, and potential issues, and implement solutions to minimise impact on delivery.
• Conduct regular project/site meetings and ensure action items are followed up.
• Provide guidance and technical direction to Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Site Teams.
• Review and coordinate electrical drawings, shop drawings, submissions, and project specifications.
• Monitor project costs, budget utilisation, variations, and financial performance to stay within budgets.
• Prepare and/or review monthly progress claims, variation orders, extensions of time, and other contractual submissions.

Job Title: Project Manager / Assistant Manager (Highrise Property Project Management)

About the Role: We are looking for a candidate to join with our client company, which specializes in Highrise Property Project Management. This role requires someone who is highly mobile and hands‑on at project sites.

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing electrical projects from tender and planning stage through execution, commissioning, and final handover. The role oversees project timeline, cost, quality, technical coordination, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client requirements to ensure successful project delivery.

The position will work closely with internal departments including Purchasing, Accounts, and Site/Project teams to ensure smooth coordination of procurement, material delivery, project costing, progress claims, payments, site activities, and overall project requirements. The role will also support tender preparation, costing, variation orders, and other commercial matters, while providing leadership and guidance to the project team.

Key responsibilities

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Electrical/M&E construction and project management (Highrise Property)

Strong knowledge of electrical installation, drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project execution

Proven experience in managing projects, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams

Experience in project costing, progress claims, variation orders, and budget control

Experience in tender preparation, costing, quotation comparison, and tender submission

Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills

Able to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines

Willing to travel to project sites as required
