Job summary

Job description

Electrical Project Engineer role based in the M8M Penang office, responsible for managing electrical projects from planning through commissioning, coordinating site operations, and providing technical support to teams.

Key responsibilities

Prepare, review, and submit key project documents such as schedules, method statements, risk assessments, and monthly reports

Assist with the planning and coordination of installation schedules and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion

Coordinate and support site operations for materials, manpower, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems

Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and teams

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members

Make decisions on the spot and demonstrate strong adaptability in dynamic situations

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations to maintain a safe and legal working environment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and control engineers, to integrate systems effectively

Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future projects and team efficiency

About you

Degree/Diploma/Higher Nitec in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Knowledge in automation design of the control system (Hardware & Software)

Experience in motor control, hardware and software designs with controls using PLCs an advantage

Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and oral to liaise with associates

Good analytical reasoning, theoretical approach and communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision

Hands-on experience on wiring assembly and installation will be an advantage

Proficient in MS office and other relevant software like AutoCAD

Must be willing to travel frequently to project sites and overseas at short notice
