About the role

GOODWOOD BUILDERS SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced M & E Site Supervisor to join our engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Seberang Perai, Penang, and represents a key supervisory role within our electrical and electronic engineering operations on construction sites.

As M & E Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems on our construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring that all M & E work is executed to the highest standards, in compliance with regulations, and within project timelines and budgets. You will work directly with site teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver excellence in mechanical and electrical engineering installations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical and electrical installation works on site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project requirements
• Monitor daily M & E activities, including electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing installations, and equipment placement
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality standards and identify any deficiencies or safety concerns
• Prepare and maintain detailed site records, progress reports, and documentation for all M & E works
• Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, and external consultants to ensure timely procurement and installation of equipment and materials
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems prior to handover
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Train and mentor site staff on correct procedures and best practices for M & E installations
• Report progress to the Project Manager and elevate issues or delays promptly

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in M & E site supervision or similar supervisory role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, power systems, and building services
• Proven experience in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and specifications
• Excellent understanding of Malaysian building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to M & E works
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and make decisions under pressure
• Professional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies would be advantageous
