Job summary

GMT Consultants Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer to join our M&E team. You will prepare and review design calculations, technical drawings, specs, and equipment selections for mechanical and electrical systems on diverse projects.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, provide energy efficiency insights, prepare tender documents and bill of quantities, conduct site inspections, and support clients through procurement and project

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and equipment selections for mechanical and electrical systems
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated designs that integrate seamlessly with the overall project
• Provide expert advice to clients on system selection, energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovative solutions, often referencing international standards and green building certifications
• Prepare tender documents, technical specifications, and bill of quantities (BQ), and support clients during the procurement process
• Conduct site inspections, review contractor submissions, and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Attend client meetings, present technical proposals, and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle
