Job summary
YDT Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and support electrical and control systems for AGV, AMR, and warehouse automation solutions. You will work with mechanical, robotics software, and applications teams on electrical design, control panels, sensors, motors, PLCs and system integration from development through commissioning.
The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechatronics engineering, strong understanding of electrical circuits and control
Qualifications
- Designs, develops, and supports electrical control systems for automation equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiar with PLCs, sensors, relays, and industrial control components.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for AGV, AMR and automation equipment.
- Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams and control panel layouts.
- Select PLCs, servo drives, motors, sensors and safety devices.
- Design and troubleshoot 24VDC/AC power and control circuits.
- Develop and modify PLC programs when required.
- Configure protocols like Modbus, TCP/IP, EtherCAT, CAN Bus.
- Support electrical integration between robots, conveyors and machines.
- Conduct electrical testing, commissioning and site troubleshooting.
