Job summary

YDT Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and support electrical and control systems for AGV, AMR and warehouse automation solutions. You will collaborate with mechanical, robotics software and applications teams on electrical design, control panels, sensors, motors, PLCs and system integration from development through commissioning.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics, strong PLC and circuit knowledge, and hands-on wiring

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or related field.
• Good understanding of electrical circuits and control systems.
• Able to read and prepare electrical schematics and wiring drawings.
• Familiar with PLC, sensors, relays, contactors and industrial control components.
• Basic understanding of motor drives and servo systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on with electrical wiring and testing.
• Able to work with mechanical and software engineering teams.
• PLC programming experience is an added advantage.
• Keyence / Mitsubishi / Siemens / Omron PLC experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for AGV, AMR and automation equipment.
• Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control panel layouts.
• Select electrical components such as PLCs, servo drives and motors, sensors, safety devices, relays and contactors, power supplies, and circuit protection devices.
• Design and troubleshoot 24VDC / AC power and control circuits.
• Perform robot and control panel wiring, testing and troubleshooting.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, motors, PLCs and industrial devices.
• Develop and modify PLC programs when required.
• Configure communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, EtherCAT, CAN Bus or Remote I/O.
• Support electrical integration between robots, conveyors, machines and customer equipment.
• Conduct electrical testing, commissioning and site troubleshooting.
