Job summary

YDT AUTOMATION SDN BHD is seeking a Robotics Application & Production Technician to support the assembly, testing, installation and deployment of AGV, AMR and warehouse automation systems. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software and applications teams for in-house production and customer-site implementations.

You will assemble systems, perform wiring, install components, test performance and troubleshoot issues while assisting with R&D and product improvements.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation or related field.
• Comfortable with hands-on technical work.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and mechanical assembly.
• Able to use basic tools and measuring equipment.
• Able to read simple mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build AGV, AMR and robotic systems.
• Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and component installation.
• Install motors, sensors, LiDAR, controllers, batteries and other robot components.
• Perform robot testing, inspection and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical and system issues.
• Support robot configuration and functional testing.
• Assist engineers during R&D, prototyping and product improvement.
• Prepare robots for delivery and customer deployment.
• Support installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Assist with robot mapping, testing and application setup.
