Job summary

Reeracoen Recruitment in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end design of industrial cold rooms, balancing office work with active construction sites to ensure on-time delivery and commissioning.

You will perform system design, calculate cooling loads, generate P&IDs and 3D layouts, select equipment, survey sites, verify installations, and provide technical support to resolve design clashes during construction.

• Specify compressors, evaporators, condensers, and expansion valves.
• Design panel layouts, underfloor insulation, and pressure relief vents.
• Site Survey: Visit raw, under-construction sites to measure dimensions and verify constraints.
• Design Validation: Inspect on-site installations to ensure builders follow drawings.

COMPANY OUTLOOK: The company has expanded its business by focusing on freezing and compression technologies ever since its establishment in year of 1924.

JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the end-to-end design of industrial cold rooms.

You will transition daily between engineering design and active, under-construction project sites and ensure the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of large-scale cold storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design: - Calculate cooling loads, heat gains, and equipment capacities.
• Generate detailed P&IDs, piping layouts, and 3D models.
• Specify compressors, evaporators, condensers, and expansion valves.
• Design panel layouts, underfloor insulation, and pressure relief vents.
• Site Survey: Visit raw, under-construction sites to measure dimensions and verify constraints.
• Design Validation: Inspect on-site installations to ensure builders strictly follow your drawings.
• Technical Support: Resolve engineering design clashes discovered during the active construction phase.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Time divided between an office desk and construction sites.
• Mobility: May require travel & overnights to various regional or overseas project locations.
• Physical Demand: Ability to climb scaffolding and walk rugged site terrain
• Safety: Wearing full PPE is mandatory during frequent site inspections.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Package: RM 3,000 - RM 3,500 (includes Fixed Transportation allowance: RM300)
• AL: <3Y 14d, 3~5Y 18d, >5Y 22d
• MC: <3Y 14d, 3~5Y 18d, >5Y 22d

• Annual Medical Claim based on receipt, max amount depend on age
• 20s: 1,000 RM
• 30s: 1,200 RM
• 40s: 1,400 RM

• Increment: once a year, but after probation will be entitled based on good performance
• Bonus: 1 or 2 times in a year (subject to company performance)
