Job summary

Mayekawa (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Shah Alam to lead end-to-end design of industrial cold rooms. You will alternate between office design work and active site inspections to ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of large-scale cold storage facilities.

The role involves calculating cooling loads, generating P&IDs and 3D models, and coordinating with on-site teams to validate designs and resolve issues across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of mechanical engineering or related experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• System design: calculate cooling loads, heat gains, and equipment capacities.
• Generate detailed P&IDs, piping layouts, and 3D models.
• Specify compressors, evaporators, condensers, and expansion valves.
• Design panel layouts, underfloor insulation, and pressure relief vents.
• Site survey: visit sites to measure dimensions and verify constraints.
• Design validations: inspect on-site installations to ensure drawings are followed.
• Technical support: resolve engineering design clashes during installation.
