Job summary

IAQ Energy Facility Management Sdn. Bhd. in Shah Alam, Selangor seeks an experienced construction professional to lead project teams, supervise site activities, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities.

You will monitor progress, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and oversee end-to-end project ownership including claims and reporting. Willingness to travel and relocate as needed is required.

Qualifications

• At least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years working experience in related industry.
• Able to operate AutoCAD software and MS Office applications.
• Experience in HVAC and project management.
• Experience in semiconductor cleanroom design and construction will be an added advantage.
• Able to handle end-to-end package ownership.
• Willing to travel, relocate (oversea or local).

Responsibilities

• Organize the project team and assign responsibilities.
• Site supervision of works at the construction site.
• Monitor progress and assist subcontractors to meet schedule and specs.
• Attend meetings; liaise with client, consultant, and authorities.
• Hold regular meetings with subcontractors and site staff.
• Carry out joint inspections with client/consultant representatives.
• Oversee personnel functions of subcontractors and workers on site.
• Coordinate works among all subcontractors and site staff.
• Maintain discipline and morale at the construction site.
• Ensure site safety and health compliance at all times.
• Ensure quality of work meets specifications.
• Monitor delivery of construction materials and verify quality and dimensions.
• Assist Project Manager in progress claims and subcontractor evaluations.
• Prepare progress reports and other project-related documents.
• Accountable for quality, safety, and environmental management at site.
• Undertake special assignments and ad hoc duties as needed.

• Organize the project team and assign responsibilities to down-line supporting personnel for the performance of work and various work activities;


• Site supervision and arrangement of site works and other activities that are carried out at the construction site;


• Monitor work progress, assist the sub-contractors to carry out works on schedule and conform to specifications;


• Attend meetings and liaise closely with client/ consultant as well as local authorities pertaining to the project;


• Hold meetings with sub-contractors and site staff regularly;


• Carry out joint inspection with the client’s/ consultant’s representatives;


• Responsible for all personnel functions of sub-contractors and workers at the construction site;


• Ensure coordination of works among all sub-contractors and site staff;


• Ensure discipline and good morale maintained at the construction site;


• Ensure site safety and health requirements are maintained and practiced at all times;


• Ensure quality of work is up to specified requirements;


• Monitoring delivery of construction materials and ensure that the quality/ types/ dimension are as per the specified requirements;


• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of progress claim to client/ consultant and evaluation of sub-contractors’ claim;


• Preparation of work progress report and other relevant reports for the project;


• Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site;


• Undertake special assignment, ad hoc functions and related duties as assigned.
