Job summary

West River Berhad, a leading M&E engineering services provider in Malaysia, seeks a capable Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineer to design and oversee projects in commercial buildings, malls and towers.

You will coordinate drawings, manage schedules, liaise with suppliers and authorities, and mentor junior engineers while delivering compliant, efficient engineering solutions. This role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in electrical design for building and industrial projects, including drawings and specifications.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction field.

Responsibilities

• Proposing M&E designs according to recognized engineering standard and following Malaysian rules and regulations for commercial buildings, malls and residential towers.
• Preparing engineering drawings as per customer's specification request.
• Project management and subordinate coordination.
• Planning, managing and scheduling project works.
• Reviewing design optimization and providing technical support.
• Liaising with suppliers, consultants and client authorities
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.
• Preparing Operation and Manual (O&M).
• Attend technical meeting with clients and consultant to resolve technical issues
• Lead, guide and monitor junior engineers in the team

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics) or equivalent.

• Engineers with at least 3 years of working experience in the construction field.
