Job summary

Formee in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for projects in Negeri Sembilan and Pahang. The role includes on-site coordination to ensure safety, timely delivery, and quality standards.

Responsibilities cover design preparation, on-site testing, troubleshooting, site inspections, and regular progress meetings with consultants and subcontractors. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Willing to travel regularly to Negeri Sembilan and Pahang.

Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a capable Electrical Engineer to support the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for our project in Negeri Sembilan & Pahang. The role involves both technical engineering work and on-site coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification of electrical systems.
• Prepare and develop electrical designs, layouts, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical submissions to local authorities and utility providers.
• Coordinate and liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project implementation and quality delivery.
• Perform electrical calculations, including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and equipment selection.
• Support troubleshooting, inspection, and basic maintenance activities on site.
• Conduct site inspections and attend project and technical meetings as required.
• Organise and participate in regular progress meetings with consultants and subcontractors; keep management fully informed of progress and issues.
• Identify potential project risks early, manage changes, and escalat issues that may affect schedule or delivery in a timely manner.
• Apply sound project management practices in line with company policies on safety, quality, cost control, and schedule.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, wiring, and safety practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Willing to travel regularly to the project site in Negeri Sembilan and Pahang.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
