INTCO MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks an Industrial Maintenance Engineer to troubleshoot and maintain electrical and automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
The role supports PM, responds to breakdowns, and assists with root-cause analysis. You will hold a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 2–3 years industrial maintenance experience and hands-on PLC troubleshooting (Siemens preferred).
This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical and automation systems, including PLC systems, VFDs, motor controls, electrical panels, and industrial instrumentation. You will support preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and assist with root-cause analysis and basic mechanical repairs.
Key responsibilitiesTroubleshoot PLC systems, including I/O checks, interlock logic, online monitoring, and minor program modifications
Diagnose and resolve VFD/inverter, motor control, and electrical system faults
Maintain electrical panels, wiring, motors, contactors, relays, and 24VDC control circuits
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation, including sensors, encoders, and 4–20mA signals
Support preventive maintenance (PM), breakdown response, and root-cause analysis
Assist with basic mechanical repairs involving motors, pumps, bearings, and pneumatic systems
About youDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
Hands-on experience in PLC troubleshooting; Siemens PLC experience is preferred
Experience with VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial electrical equipment
Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Mandarin is required, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking management and teams
