Job summary

A leading industrial automation firm in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Intern to kickstart their career with real-world exposure to PLC and SCADA systems, panel design, and on-site engineering work. This role includes responsibilities such as conducting project testing, SCADA modifications, and assisting engineers. Candidates should be pursuing a relevant diploma or degree, possess good communication and teamwork skills, and be willing to learn and adapt. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Willing to travel to site when required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting project testing and documentation.

• Designing MCC Panels.
• Conducting panel testing prior to FAT.

Job description

Kickstart your engineering career with hands‑on experience in real industrial automation projects. As an intern, you’ll gain practical exposure to PLC and SCADA systems, panel design, and on‑site engineering work—bridging the gap between theory and real‑world application. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to live projects, and build technical skills that are highly valued in the industry, all while being part of a collaborative and energetic team.

Job Responsibilities

• Conducting project testing and documentation
• Performing SCADA modification and programming
• Designing MCC Panels
• Conducting panel testing prior to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
• Studying PLC specifications
• Preparing and delivering presentations
• Assisting engineers in creating documents, such as AutoCAD drawings, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word documents
• Aiding engineers in hardware installation, including UPS systems and computer racks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Willing to travel to site when required.
• Knowledge of PLC/RTU/DCS/HMI control programming/ SCADA design.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to learn and adapt to site and office environments.
