Job summary

JR ENGINEERS SDN BHD is a growing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering Consultancy in Malaysia seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. Fresh graduates are welcome and will be exposed to design, submissions, tendering and site coordination.

You will work with experienced engineers, learn Malaysian standards, and gradually take on independent project management as you gain experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is expected, BIM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Basic understanding of electrical building services, ELV and telecommunications systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with clients, contractors, consultants and authorities.
• Willing to learn, adapt and take responsibility for assigned work.
• Possess own transportation and be willing to attend project sites when required.
• Knowledge or experience in BIM will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of Electrical, ELV and Telecommunications Services for building projects.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cost estimates and other engineering calculations.
• Prepare drawings, schematics, layouts and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
• Assist in the preparation of authority submissions and liaise with relevant authorities and utility providers.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure works are carried out in accordance with the design, specifications and requirements.
• Assist in tender preparation, including drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Assist in contract administration, including technical correspondence, site matters, inspections and other project-related documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, C&S consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Participate in project meetings and assist in following up on project matters.
• Develop practical knowledge of relevant Malaysian standards, regulations, authority requirements and industry practices.
• Take increasing responsibility for projects and work towards independent project management as experience is gained.

JR ENGINEERS SDN BHD is a growing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering Consultancy in Malaysia. We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team.

This position is suitable for a fresh graduate or early-career engineer who is keen to develop practical experience in electrical engineering consultancy. You will be exposed to various stages of building projects, from design and authority submissions through tender preparation, site coordination and contract administration.

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, willing to learn and able to adapt. As you gain experience, you will be given the opportunity to take greater responsibility and eventually manage projects independently.
