Job summary

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a contract role to contribute expertise across design, coordination, and documentation.

You will support electrical design from concept to construction, coordinate with site teams and suppliers, review shop drawings, and prepare technical submissions. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5+ years in tech or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in technology or manufacturing.
• Proficient in electrical design, simulation and testing using industry-standard software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with innovative thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design Support: assist in the electrical system from concept to construction; prepare/update drawings and docs; review designs; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Technical Coordination & Site Support: resolve electrical/PLC issues during construction; liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers; review shop drawings and method statements.
• Documentation & Reporting: prepare technical reports, progress updates, meeting minutes; maintain drawings and revisions; track design changes and site instructions; assist in tender reviews and technical submissions.

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. This is a contract position, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic, innovative technology company.

What you'll be doing

1. Electrical Design Support

• Assist in electrical system from the concept stage to construction stage.
• Prepare and update electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Support the review of electrical designs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.

2. Technical Coordination & Site Support

• Assist in resolving electrical and PLC issues during construction.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on day-to-day electrical matters.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Monitor site progress and report any issues or delays.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and meeting minutes.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, specifications, and revisions.
• Track and update design changes and site instructions.
• Assist in reviewing tender drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
• Support technical evaluation of materials and equipment.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions and clarifications.
