Job summary

CBH Engineering Sdn. Bhd. seeks a BIM Modeler (Electrical) to develop detailed electrical BIM models, including lighting and power systems, and to prepare shop drawings and construction drawings from design specifications.

You will coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, perform clash detection with Navisworks, and update models per design changes and site conditions. Knowledge of BIM standards and local codes is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years' experience as a BIM Modeler (Electrical).
• Proficient in Revit (Electrical), AutoCAD, and BIM collaboration tools.
• Experience with Navisworks for clash detection is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in buildings.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD levels, and workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical BIM models including lighting, power, low current, and ELV systems.
• Prepare shop drawings, layouts, and construction drawings based on design specifications.
• Coordinate electrical models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Update models based on design changes, site conditions, and RFI responses.
• Ensure models comply with local authority requirements, codes, and standards.
• Extract BOQs, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
• Support project teams during design development and construction stages.
• Maintain proper BIM documentation, standards, and version control.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide technical support when required.
