Job summary

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data center construction and engineering company to hire an EHS Safety Engineer (Greenbook) to be based at Kapar, Klang or Banting (Selangor). You will support delivery of large-scale data center projects with a focus on health, safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a Green Book certification, strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations, and the ability to work with project managers, contractors, and site personnel to maintain a safe

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, MEP, EPC, industrial, infrastructure, or data center projects.
• Green Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer) certification is required.
• Familiarity with Malaysian occupational safety regulations, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.
• Experience conducting site inspections, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices and adherence to site safety standards.
• Investigate incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and maintain accurate safety records and reports.
• Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training to promote a strong safety culture across the project site.
