The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has 2–5 years in manufacturing, with strong knowledge of environmental laws, wastewater treatment, and ability to train staff and manage hazardous waste programs.

N&T Process System Sdn Bhd is a precision metal‑stamping component. We are looking for an Environmental Manager ensures an organization complies with environmental laws, manages sustainability initiatives, mitigates ecological risks and managing hazardous industrial wastes. Core duties include conducting site inspections, auditing waste and pollution control, liaising with regulatory bodies (such as the DOE & DOSH in Malaysia), and promoting sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the competent person in charge of plant operations, ensuring all treated effluent strictly adheres to the Department of Environment (DOE) standards under the Environmental Quality Act
Conduct routine testing and performance evaluations of the IETS biological processes (e.g., MLSS, MLVSS, SV30) to optimize system efficiency and prevent biological upsets
Handle communications, licensing, and reporting with the DOE. Ensure timely submission of environmental performance reports and prepare for site audits
Identify root causes of system deviations, abnormal discharges, or equipment failures, and implement corrective actions immediately
Maintain systematic and accurate logs of daily operations, maintenance schedules, chemical usage, and effluent test results for management and authority reviews
Conduct routine environmental audits and site assessments to ensure adherence to local regulations and ISO 14001 standards
Identify potential environmental hazards (e.g., chemical spills, wastewater discharge, emissions) and develop corrective action plans
Collect water samples; monitor pollution levels; and prepare reports for management and government agencies.
Develop and deliver training programs on environmental awareness, emergency response, and waste management for employees.
Handling related safety materials and helping Safety & Health Officer
Aid in preparing documents related to Environment Health and Safety in the workplace.
Requirements
Legally competent person responsible for managing and supervising biological wastewater treatment plants
Must hold a valid CePIETSO-BP and CePSWaM competency certificate awarded by EiMAS (Environment Institute of Malaysia)
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment principles, machinery calibration, and water quality testing
Requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
Strong understanding of local environmental laws, analytical skills, and excellent communication.
