Job summary

HSB Reclaimed Rubber Sdn Bhd in Simpang Ampat, Penang is seeking an experienced EHS Executive to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across operations. This full-time role emphasizes site inspections, wastewater treatment, equipment maintenance coordination, and emergency response participation.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in EHS/Engineering, a degree or diploma in OSH or related fields, strong communication skills, and knowledge of industrial effluent treatment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an EHS/ Engineering role.
• Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
• Experience in operation of WWTP or IETS will be an added advantage
• Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and training skills to engage with employees at all levels
• CePIETSO-PCP (Certified Environmental Professional in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems – Physical Chemical Processes) will be an added advantage for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regular site inspections and environmental housekeeping.
• Analyze job orders with managers and develop production tasks and schedules.
• Perform daily wastewater treatment checks and periodic pump station checks.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with the maintenance department.
• Performs sampling duties and laboratory testing.
• Inspect workplace at least monthly for safety and health risks.
• Prepare or assist in EHS reports, audits, notices and reports.
• Act as Emergency Response Team Committee Member.
• Assist in review and update of Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings and follow up on actions.
• Support safety training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.

We are seeking an experienced EHS Executive to join our team at HSB Reclaimed Rubber Sdn Bhd in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time role will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure regular site inspections and environmental housekeeping is carried out.
• Work with managers and team to analysis job order and develop production tasks and schedule.
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with maintenance department for status of repairs and scheduling of work.
• Ability to perform standard sampling duties and laboratory testing.
• Inspect of workplace at least once a month if there is any prejudicial to the safety and health of person employed.
• Prepared or assist in any EHS reports, EHS audits, government agencies notice and report pertaining related to environment, safety and health at work place.
• Act as Emergency Response Team Committee Member.
• Assist in review and update for Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Participate in Safety Committee (JKKP) meetings and follow up on actions items.
• Support safety training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
• To perform any additional tasks as assigned by the company.

What we're looking for
