Job summary

PUBLIC PACKAGES (NT) SDN BHD is seeking an EHS professional in Penang to develop and implement our Environment, Health & Safety policy and related procedures. The role includes ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining QMS/EMS alignment, and liaising with authorities on environmental and safety issues.

You will also train staff on new processes, collect data for reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives in EHS across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience in EHS or related field.
• Well understanding of ISO 14001 and OSHA Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Developing EHS policy and procedures and initiate action to ensure compliance with safety and environmental legal requirements.
• Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain and update department process and instruction to ensure continuous improvement to meet QMS and EMS requirements.
• Act as Company’s liaison with related authorities concerning environmental and safety issues.
• Provide training and communications to employees to ensure new processes and systems are implemented effectively.
• Assist Senior EHS Executive with data collection and reporting.
• Coordinate on RBA to ensure compliance and enhancement of RBA codes in Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics standards.

• Developing Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policy and procedures and initiate action to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental legal requirements.
• Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• To maintain and update department process and instruction to ensure continuous improvement to meet QMS and EMS requirement.
• To act as Company’s liaison with related authorities and interested parties concerning environmental and safety issues.
• Preference for a CePIETSO (PCP) certificate
• Provide training and communications to the company’s employees to ensure new processes and systems are fully implemented effectively.
• Aware the importance of conformance to EHS policy and procedures, and to the requirements of the EHS management system.
• To assist Senior EHS Executive on preparting / collecting data and report.
• Coordinate on RBA- Ensure compliance and ongoing enhancement of the RBA code in Labor, Health and Safety , Environment and Ethics standards.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• STPM/ Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and safety, Environmental Technology / Environmental Science / Applied Science or related discipline. Minimum 3 years working experience in EHS or related field.
