Job summary

HUAT LAI RESOURCES BERHAD is seeking an experienced Egg Grading Centre Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily egg receiving, grading, packing, storage and dispatch operations. You will lead the production team, maintain product quality and food safety standards, and ensure orders are prepared accurately and dispatched on schedule.

Appointment as Supervisor or Manager will depend on your experience, qualifications and ability to manage operations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in egg grading, food processing, manufacturing or logistics operations.
• Direct experience in egg grading centre operations is strongly preferred.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory or production management systems.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Egg Grading Centre Supervisor / Manager to oversee daily egg receiving, grading, packing, storage and dispatch operations. You will lead the production team, maintain product quality and food safety standards, and ensure orders are prepared accurately and dispatched on schedule.

Appointment as Supervisor or Manager will depend on your experience, qualifications and ability to manage operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and oversee daily operations, including egg receiving, grading, sorting, packing, storage and dispatch.

Coordinate with farms, sales and transport teams to meet customer orders and delivery schedules.

Supervise workers, allocate duties and manage manpower to achieve daily production targets.

Ensure eggs meet the required grading, quality, packaging and labelling specifications.

Monitor breakage, rejects and wastage, investigate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.

Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock counts and ensure proper stock rotation.

Enforce standard operating procedures, food safety requirements, hygiene and workplace safety standards.

Monitor grading machinery and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.

Prepare accurate reports on production output, stock movements, productivity and wastage.

Train and guide workers, address performance issues and promote accountability.

Identify practical improvements to workflow, manpower utilisation and operating costs.

Report operational issues and resource requirements to management promptly.

What We’re Looking For

At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in egg grading, food processing, manufacturing or logistics operations.

Direct experience in egg grading centre operations is strongly preferred.

Hardworking, self‑motivated and disciplined, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage daily operations independently.

Sound knowledge of quality control, food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.

Familiarity with egg grading, packing, inventory control, stock rotation and dispatch procedures.

Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory or production management systems.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, motivate and supervise workers.

Ability to carry out duties on the production floor, including standing for extended periods.

Willingness to work shifts and overtime when operationally required.
