Job summary

Wesley Methodist School in Penang is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support recruitment, compensation, performance management, employee relations and HR administration across the school community.

The role requires a minimum degree in HR/Business Admin and at least five years in HR operations, with strong knowledge of employment law and fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will work closely with school leaders to build a positive, compliant and engaging workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Recruitment & Onboarding processes.
• Advise on compensation, benefits, payroll and annual remuneration processes.
• Oversee performance management for all staff and teachers.
• Coordinate Training & Development initiatives to boost engagement.
• Manage Employee Relations and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Handle HR Administration, attendance, leave records and reporting.
• Manage disciplinary matters in line with HR policies and legislation.
• Oversee general Office Administration and day-to-day operations.
