Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Data Center ECC Lead to manage the Emergency Command Center operations in Malaysia. The role ensures 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure, leads the ECC team, and drives effective incident management and resolution.

You will develop SOPs, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, document incidents, and support disaster recovery planning. A shift-work capable engineer with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong interest in data center operations and incident management.
• Must be able to work shift and be willing to relocate to Bukit Jalil / Sedenak, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the ECC team for 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure.
• Oversee alert monitoring, incident response, escalation, and resolution.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, best practices, and incident workflows.
• Act as main contact for internal teams and external vendors on critical incidents.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolution reports.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Center ECC Lead to manage the Emergency Command Center (ECC) operations. The role is responsible for ensuring stable, efficient, and continuous data center operations, leading the ECC team, and driving effective incident management and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the ECC team to ensure 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and environmental conditions.
• Oversee the monitoring of alerts and incidents, ensuring timely response, escalation, and resolution.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and incident response workflows.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external vendors on critical incidents and technical issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolution reports for future reference and analysis.
• Conduct regular system health checks, preventive maintenance coordination, and risk assessments to improve system reliability.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including regular testing and validation exercises.
• Prepare and maintain ECC operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics tracking.
