RESONAC MATERIALS JOHOR SDN. BHD. is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to inspect instruments and lead project investigations to forecast new equipment installation, modification, alteration and variation of existing equipment.
You will manage the instrument team, monitor performance and development needs, ensure calibration and preventive maintenance plans, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency.
This role involves instrument inspection and investigation of projects to determine the feasibility and forecasting of new equipment installation, modification, alteration and variation of existing equipment. You will be responsible for identifying causes of machinery failures and deficiencies, and leading instrument team members including monitoring subordinate performance, work efficiency and development needs.
Key responsibilities
Conduct instrument inspection and investigation of projects to determine feasibility and forecasting of new equipment installation, modification, alteration and variation of existing equipment
Identify causes of machinery failures and deficiencies
Manage instrument team members, including monitoring subordinate performance, work efficiency and development needs
Take necessary action for improvement of team performance
Conduct instrument works relating to design, specifications, engineering cost estimates and economic analysis for engineering projects
Manage machinery calibration, periodic maintenance and preventive maintenance plans on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis
Ensure maintenance plans are followed accordingly
Lead machinery improvement activities and proposals covering preventive maintenance, energy-saving activities and method improvements
Study and analyse machinery problem trends and root causes, and propose appropriate countermeasures
Ensure ISO, Safety, SGA/AHA and section documentation is properly maintained
About you
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related field
At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical/instrumentation, preferably in manufacturing
Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA and control systems
Familiar with pressure, flow, level and temperature instrumentation
Able to read P&ID, electrical drawings and instrument diagrams
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
Good planning and organisational skills
