Job summary

SD Guthrie International is seeking a Senior Executive, Engineering to lead Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation (E&I) activities at Port Klang. You will oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvements, including DCS programs, control panels, and field instrumentation to ensure stable plant operation.

You will guide a team of technicians, coordinate schedules with Production, uphold safety and engineering standards, and support continuous improvement and digitalization

Qualifications

• Lead, plan, and manage all Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation (E&I) activities, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical, instrumentation, and control system failures (including DCS).
• Configure, maintain, and optimize DCS systems, control panels, and field instrumentation to ensure stable plant operation.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians/electricians in executing maintenance and project works.
• Coordinate E&I related maintenance and project schedules with Production and other departments to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all works comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Review and support procurement of electrical, instrumentation, and automation spare parts and equipment.
• Monitor and ensure reliability of plant assets through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure contractors comply with safety and technical requirements during project and maintenance execution.
• Conduct inspections and audits on electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including system upgrades and digitalization efforts.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Support all relevant audits (ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, FSSC 22000)
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
