Job summary

Mafipro in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to handle electrical, mechanical, and building services in our factory environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, machinery, and related systems, ensuring safe operations and compliance with EMS/HACCP/HALAL standards.

The role requires strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, and a background in electrical/electronics with automation experience.

Qualifications

• Able to converse and write in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Electrical or Electronics disciplines with background in automation, PLC and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Record electricity usage and temperatures in the logbook daily.
• Perform maintenance for factory installations, machines, equipment, and safety systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioner, cold room and chiller equipment.
• Assist and troubleshoot labeling machines as needed.
• Maintain and test fire alarm systems in factory and warehouse.
• Install and modify new machinery for safety and hygiene requirements.
• Record daily corrective and preventive activities in the logbook.

• Jointly responsible to record electricity usage, cold and chiller room temperature into the record book in daily basis or frequency maybe increase from time to time if requested by the superior.
• Job scope which including welding, grinding, cutting, painting, plumbing, fabrication, modification, installation, up keeping, corrective and preventive maintenance for factory installations, machineries, equipment, hygienic, environmental and carried out in safe manner in concurrently with using PPE provided by company.
• Fully in charge to carry out troubleshooting, repair, maintenance of factory air conditioner, cold room and chiller room equipment.
• Jointly responsible to assist and troubleshoot on labeling machine from time to time.
• Fully responsible to carry out troubleshooting, repair, maintenance of factory machineries and equipment.
• Jointly responsible to maintain, carry out routine testing and ensure generator operate in good condition and workable at all time.
• Jointly responsible to maintain, carry out routine checking for all the electrical switch board/panel at factory in good condition and safe at all time.
• Jointly responsible to carry out factory preventive maintenance program accordingly to planned schedule or which instructed by superior.
• Jointly responsible to maintain, carry out monthly routine checking for all the fire alarm system at factory and warehouse in good condition and workable at all time.
• Jointly responsible to assist of the new machineries installation, carry out modification when require for to fulfill the requirement of statutory, hygiene and safety.
• Jointly responsible to record all the daily corrective and preventive activities into the logbook.
• Demonstrate teamwork.
• To carry out any duties as instructed by the superior from time to time.
• To support implementation and identification of environmental aspects in EMS and prevent pollution to environment.
• To support and assist for to maintain all the policies and procedure in company, which included but not limited to safety & health, ISO, EMS, HACCP/GMP and HALAL.

Competence:

• Skill : Able to converse and write in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
