Job summary

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad is seeking personnel to inspect and prepare vehicles for showroom display and test drives. You will ensure cleanliness, arrange interiors, and maintain stockyard organization, including updating logs and vehicle records.

Role involves starting engines weekly, removing temporary materials, and ensuring promotional display vehicles are roadworthy and presentable for customers and roadshows.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / O-Level qualification.
• Must possess a valid Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new vehicles for scratches, damages or missing accessories.
• Keep showroom display vehicles clean and presentable.
• Clean vehicle interiors and remove debris from carpets.
• Remove protective coverings and ensure tyres are free of debris.
• Maintain test drive vehicles, check mileage and fuel levels.
• Maintain test drive logs and vehicle records.
• Prepare and organize vehicle documents and stockyard vehicles.
• Replace Malaysia and Penang flags on display vehicles.
• Start engines weekly and prepare units for roadshows.

Job description

Inspect newly delivered vehicles for any scratches, damages, missing accessories or other issues upon unloading.

Ensure showroom display vehicles are clean, properly positioned and presentable at all times.

Clean vehicle carpets and remove sand, dirt and other debris from the interior.

Remove protective covers, stickers and other temporary materials from vehicles.

Ensure there is no dust or debris inside the vehicles and remove any stones or foreign objects from the tyres.

Ensure the centre console and vehicle interior are properly arranged and clean.

Clean and prepare test drive vehicles regularly, including checking mileage and fuel levels.

Ensure all test drive vehicles are properly maintained, clean and ready for customers.

Maintain the test drive vehicle logbook and ensure the vehicle records are updated.

Ensure the vehicle glove compartment and related documents are neat and properly organized.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles in the stockyard.

Start showroom display vehicles regularly to ensure they remain in good operating condition.

Start vehicle engines at least once a week as required.

Wash and prepare display units before sending them for roadshows or promotional activities.

Assist with general vehicle preparation and showroom display activities as required.

Replace Malaysia and Penang flags on display vehicles when they become faded or damaged.

Requirements

Minimum SPM / O-Level qualification in any field.

Must possess a valid Driving License.
