Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally.

Job description

Sri Seltra Sdn Bhd is seeking a Driver cum Dispatch professional to join our team in Ampang, Selangor on a full-time basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation and logistics operations. As a Driver cum Dispatch, you will serve as a critical link between our administrative functions and on-ground delivery operations, managing both vehicle operation and dispatch coordination to ensure timely and reliable service delivery to our clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating company vehicles safely and professionally, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards
• Managing dispatch operations by coordinating delivery schedules, routes and driver assignments
• Recording and maintaining accurate logs of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance and delivery records
• Responding to dispatch requests and prioritising deliveries based on urgency and efficiency
• Communicating effectively with drivers, customers and management to confirm delivery times and address any issues
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance requirements promptly
• Ensuring cargo is properly loaded, secured and transported according to company standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of vehicles and dispatch areas
• Monitoring and optimising fuel efficiency and vehicle utilisation
• Supporting inventory management and tracking of company assets during transport

What we’re looking for

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record and several years of professional driving experience
• Proven experience in dispatch coordination or logistics coordination roles
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems and basic computer literacy
• Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns and geographic areas within Selangor and surrounding regions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to maintaining professional standards
• Valid driving licence (Class 2 or higher) with no major traffic violations
• Preferably, previous experience in the logistics, courier or transportation industry
