Job summary

Pen Konsult Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Draftsperson- Mechanical (M&E consulting). The role focuses on drafting detailed Mechanical / M&E drawings for diverse projects, including HVAC, piping, and building services coordination with other disciplines.

You will support authority submissions and project documentation. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with at least three years of drafting experience in M&E environments and

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Mechanical / M&E drawings for industrial, commercial, high-rise and Data Centre projects.
• Develop drawings for HVAC / ACMV, ductwork and mechanical services.
• Prepare piping layouts, equipment layouts and plant room drawings.
• Prepare plumbing and sanitary drawings including water supply and waste systems.
• Coordinate M&E drawings with architecture, structure, and electrical disciplines.
• Incorporate design revisions and authority requirements into drawings.

Draftsperson- Mechanical ( M&E consulting company)

We are an established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Consulting Engineering firm seeking a competent and motivated Draftsman (Mechanical / M&E Services) to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and develop strong technical expertise in M&E building services design, drafting and coordination.

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate Mechanical / M&E drawings for industrial, commercial, high-rise and Data Centre projects.

Develop drawings for HVAC / ACMV systems, ductwork and mechanical services.

Prepare process and utility piping layouts, equipment layouts and mechanical plant room drawings.

Prepare plumbing and sanitary services drawings, including domestic water supply, sanitary and rainwater systems.

Prepare drawings for Fire Protection and Building Management System (BMS) installations.

Assist Engineers in preparing authority submission drawings and documentation for BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB, local authorities and other relevant agencies.

Prepare design, tender, coordination, shop and as-built drawings.

Coordinate M&E drawings with Architectural, Structural, Electrical and other engineering disciplines.

Incorporate design revisions, authority requirements and site changes into drawings.

Ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards and design specifications.

About you

Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, M&E, Building Services, CAD Drafting or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting, preferably with an M&E consulting engineering firm or building services environment.

Proficient in AutoCAD with good knowledge of technical drawing standards and practices.

Good understanding of M&E drawing coordination and interfacing with other disciplines.

Able to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.

Good communication skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Exposure to a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial, high-rise and Data Centre projects.
