Job summary

Vision Path Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to turn field data into accurate, professional underground utility drawings. You will create CAD drawings and maps of water, sewer, electrical, gas, and telecom lines in collaboration with surveyors and GIS teams.

Responsibilities include CAD drawing & mapping, data conversion from total stations, GNSS and GPR, ensuring compliance with standards, file management, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Drafting, CAD Design, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with utility mapping workflows.
• Experience with field data and converting to drawings is preferred.
• Understanding of underground utilities and survey data is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and finalize CAD drawings and utility maps.
• Convert raw field data from total stations, GNSS, GPR into layouts.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, client requirements, and regulatory formats.
• Maintain organized drawing files, layers, and reference data for easy retrieval and QA.
• Generate utility maps, cross-sections, and detailed plans for submission.
• Coordinate with surveyors, GIS teams, and project managers to ensure data accuracy.

We Are Hiring: Drafter (Underground Utility Mapping)

Be part of a fast-growing team supporting major urban development projects in Kuala Lumpur. We are looking for a detail-oriented Drafter who is passionate about transforming field data into accurate, clear, and professional underground utility drawings.

The Drafter for Underground Utility Mapping is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, plans, and maps of underground utilities such as water, sewer, electrical, gas, and telecommunication lines.
You will work closely with surveyors and GIS teams to convert field data into clear, standardized drawings for project documentation, submission, and reporting.

a) CAD Drawing & Mapping

Prepare, revise, and finalize CAD drawings and utility maps based on survey data, as-built information, and design requirements.

b) Data Conversion

Convert raw field data (from total stations, GNSS, GPR, etc.) into accurate underground utility layouts.

c) Compliance & Standards

Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory specifications (e.g., authority submission formats).

d) File Management

Maintain organized drawing files, layers, and reference data to ensure easy retrieval and quality assurance.

e) Technical Support

Assist surveyors and engineers in visualizing underground networks for planning and construction activities.

f) Quality Control

Perform drawing quality checks to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.

Update drawings for revisions, relocations, or new information from site verification.

g) Additional Responsibilities

Generate utility maps, cross-sections, and detailed plans for submission.

Coordinate with surveyors, GIS teams, and project managers to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Certificate/Diploma in Drafting, CAD Design, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with utility mapping workflows.
