Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a CAD Technician to prepare and update technical drawings, shop drawings, and layout plans using AutoCAD and REVIT. You will support engineers and project teams to produce detailed drawings from design specs and site conditions.

You will review drawings for accuracy, manage versions, and maintain drawing registers and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Architecture is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Strong knowledge of design and visualization software incl. AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings, shop drawings, layout plans, and construction drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.

Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues

Revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and engineering instructions, ensuring proper version control

Maintain drawing registers, CAD files, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle

About you

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software, such as Autodesk AutoCAD and REVIT

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards

Good understanding of construction drawings, technical details, and drawing standards, with strong attention to detail

Willing to travel to project sites when required.
