Job summary

AECE Consult Sdn Bhd is seeking a BIM modeller/draftsperson to translate and prepare detailed shop and construction drawings. You will read and interpret drawings, ensure compliance with client requirements, and perform site checks for dimensions and terminations.

The role involves preparing general arrangements and submissions, with collaboration across engineers and other drafters, and entails BIM-enabled drawing work.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and capable of producing detailed drawings.
• Familiarity with BIM software for engineering drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Able to read, understand, translate & prepare drawings / designs into detailed shop drawings and construction drawings.
• Check shop drawings to ensure compliance with clients' requirements and perform site checks for dimensions and terminations.
• Prepare general arrangement and engineering drawings for submission, tender, construction, as-built, and related needs.
• Check, alter, plot and deliver drawings as per Engineer’s instructions.
• Produce engineering drawings conforming to required standards with minimal supervision.
• Ensure drawings and records are updated and controlled throughout the construction project.
• Coordinate and work closely with Engineers and other drafspersons.
• Report status of tasks to Superiors regularly.
• Preparing technical drawings using BIM software is advantageous.

2. Job Description

3. Responsibilities

Able to read, understand, translate & prepare drawings / designs into detailed shop drawings and construction drawings.

To check and ensure shop drawings submissions are not misleading and comply with clients' requirements. performs site checking to ensure proper dimension, termination and detail for construction and fabrication.

To prepare required general arrangement and engineering drawing for the purpose of submission, tender, construction, as-built and etc.

To check, alter, plot and deliver all required drawings as per Engineer’s instructions.

Demonstrating working to a high level in producing engineering drawing conforming to certain standard/requirement with MINIMAL supervision.

Ensure drawings and records are updated, controlled and in placed throughout duration of construction project.

Coordinate and work closely with Engineers and other draftspersons.

Report regularly to Superiors on status of tasks given.

Preparing technical drawings using BIM software skill is advantageous.
