Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte Ltd seeks an M&E CAD Technician to produce detailed M&E shop drawings (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire, Electrical) and support drawing development for complex construction projects.
You will interpret technical sketches, ensure compliance with Malaysian codes, and coordinate with project teams to resolve clashes, while maintaining organized CAD/BIM files for timely submissions.

Responsible for production of M&E shop drawings and detailed construction issues as design request;
To follow M&E drawing development required by the project;
Prepares drawings accurately from oral instructions, rough sketches and notes, calculations, dimensions to develop relevant M&E shop drawing (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical systems) for approval;
Maintains, updates and makes amendments to M&E drawings all time as correspondences from consultant/ client;
Ensures the drawings comply with specifications and local compliance code (such as UBBL, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and BOMBA guidelines);
Understands the project scope and requirements in the preparation of detailed M&E shop drawings ensuring that the drawings are easily understood by the project teams;
Ensures the proper indexing, filing and storage of drawings (including CAD files, BIM models, and PDFs) in both hardcopy and electronic media;
Manages multiple projects concurrently and accurately in a timely manner through workload prioritisation;
Consults with key personnel in the project planning for shop drawing submission schedule;
Studies M&E, architectural, and structural drawings and other pertinent papers in shop drawing preparation and discuss with key personnel for clash detection;
Ensures that all M&E materials are detailed and accounted for in shop drawing preparation;
Explains M&E drawings to project teams and provide adjustments as necessary;
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2-5 years working experience in M&E building services or construction projects.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Knowledge of construction industry standards, Malaysian building codes, and authority guidelines and regulations.
Strong technical drawing skills and able to interpret complex technical sketches and diagrams.
Take ownership and able to work collaboratively and independently to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
