Job summary

GENRE Professional Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Drafter to assist engineers in producing construction, tender, and shop drawings, primarily for electrical drafting in the renewable energy sector. Fresh graduates are welcome and CAD proficiency is required.

You will work on detailed 2D drawings, coordinate with engineers and vendors, and ensure compliance with codes and project timelines. Growth potential from junior to senior drafter is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Education as stated: min SPM/Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Draughtsmanship.
• Fresh drafter are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years of drafting experience in related M&E consulting would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in CAD is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical & mechanical (M&E) drawings, 2D layouts using CAD, major in electrical drafting.
• Develop technical drawings based on sketches and initial design concepts from engineer.
• Check and revise drawings per instruction and comments as needed.
• Ensure drawings meet timelines and are deliverable.
• Prepare drawings in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications.
• Check measurements and technical specifications for accuracy.
• Provide technical support to internal teams during project implementation.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers when required.
• Manage and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Follow up on submission drawings for authority approvals when required.
• Support the Principal with ad-hoc tasks.
